Dear ramkrishna:

Take a look at this week's highlighted Challenges from our InnoCentive Marketplace. Click on the Challenge links below and start solving today!

Separating Overlapped Slices
(#8924850)
This Challenge is looking for a way to mechanically separate food slices that are slightly oily, sticky and very floppy. The slices naturally stick together in overlapped clumps of 2 to 5 slices and have to be manually separated today.
Deadline: December 7, 2009
Reward: $20,000

Synthetic Methodology
(#8925328)
A theoretical proposal for an efficient synthesis of the shown bi-cyclic amino acid is needed.
Deadline: December 30, 2009
Reward: $20,000

Automated Mixing System
(#8925066)
The Seeker is looking for a partner to develop an automated system of mixing solids and solvents for flow reactor feed streams. This is an electronic Request-for-Partners (eRFP) Challenge; the Solver will need to submit a written proposal to be evaluated by the Seeker with a goal of establishing a collaborative partnership.
Deadline: December 30, 2009
Reward: Varies

Optimizing Sub-cellular Localization Tags
(#8834288)
The Seeker is looking for methods to optimize sub-cellular localization tags for protein expression. This is a Theoretical Challenge that requires only written proposal to be submitted.
Deadline: November 29, 2009
Reward: $20,000

Methods of Modeling Adaptation in Populations
(#8919320)
The analysis of adaptation with a population is a frequently encountered computational modeling scenario. The Seeker is looking for Solvers that may have insights into creating models of such scenarios. Solvers with diverse experiences - both computational and non-computational in nature are encouraged to participate in this Challenge.
Deadline: December 30, 2009
Reward: $15,000

Novel Approaches to Protecting Maize from Insect Damage
(#8836928)
The Seeker is looking for novel approaches to protecting maize from insect damage.
This Challenge requires only a written proposal.
Deadline: November 29, 2009
Reward: $20,000

Process Mass Intensities
(#8922476)
A white paper collating the process mass intensities for the top selling pharmaceuticals is desired.
Deadline: December 29, 2009
Reward: $10,000

Single-cell Analysis Platform
(#8915701)
This Challenge is looking for novel approaches to analyzing changes at a single-cell level. This is an Ideation Challenge with a guaranteed award for at least one submitted solution.
Deadline: December 2, 2009
Reward: $5,000

Reaction Chemistry on Sulfonate Groups
(#8823387)
The Seeker is interested in finding chemistry to allow reaction of the sulfonate groups present on the outer surface of keratin fibers, e.g. hair or wool, that have been damaged via UV exposure or chemical processes such as bleaching. The chemistry should modify the sulfonate groups or covalently bind other molecules to the sulfonate groups resulting in a change in the properties of the surface.
Deadline: November 24, 2009
Reward: $15,000
